DrupalCons are designed to serve many types of community members through various tracks and special events. And, one group the event serves is the Drupal Business Owner, important because their companies provide community members with careers, they help grow Drupal adoption one client at a time, and they innovate the Project with their contributions. They also provide funding for camps and DrupalCons through their sponsorships.

Clearly Drupal businesses play an important role and the Drupal Association wants to help this business ecosystem grow and thrive. So, at DrupalCon, we offer the CxO event, which takes place on the Monday of each DrupalCon.

The CxO event is an open forum format where owners of Drupal businesses identify common business challenges and meet in small groups to identify solutions and best practices they can apply right away. Additionally, the forum fosters networking, allowing attendees to form helpful business relationships and even partnerships. The day is moderated by a Drupal business leader, who makes sure the discussions stay on topic and there is a good exchange of information within the small groups throughout the day.

This event is ideally for the smaller and newer Drupal business moving from start up into growth mode. However, several larger and more mature companies attend the event as well, acting as mentors, but also refocusing on some of the key challenges that all size companies deal with.

At DrupalCon Prague, Jeff Walpole, CEO of Phase2, moderated a group of 80 Drupal business owners. The breakout groups gathered around tables brainstorming solutions for:
