I'm happy to see you Contesting. You have been mentoring me time to time since 2008, I'm always inspired by your Drupal evangelism. Your energy for Drupal community and contributions are still coherent. Your motivation has helped me get through Google Summer of Code. Your selfless interest and passion may consider you immaculate for representing Drupal Asia. Our community needs representatives like you. Community building is something you are good at. Your Skills, experience, interest, Passion and career are all aligned to this endeavor. I'm sure many of us in Drupal community will have a story to share as mine. I'm glad to see you contesting! I can't forget all the efforts you're undertook to galvanize the Chennai Drupal community and the mentoring at sprints. I'm sure that you will continue to do it, albeit al a larger scale. We need a combination of open source project management skills and technical chops, which you possess at right measures. Looking forward to see you at the helm of affairs and bring more girl power to Drupal :)

Glad to hear about Shyamala's nomination. She has been pivotal in spearheading Drupal community from the year 2009 in South India. I had the privelege to meet her at "National Convention for Academics and Research (NCAR)" where she spoke about Drupal to a large audience comprising of Academics & Researchers in year 2010. She has also been proactive in leading the Chennai Drupal community and spearheading Drupal 8 Mobile initiative as a project manager since 2013. 

She has all the qualities required for a Director and she deserves to be elected. Best wishes to her.

There are people who do little and make a lot of noise about it. Then there are people who keep doing small things, consistently, over such long periods of time that you notice that you rarely notice the hand of the clock moving. Only when you look back you realise how much progress has been made, silently. Shyamala is among the latter type of people. She's been at the helm of organising Drupal community events in her own circle of influence over a very long period of time. Her silent work has inspired and motivated many in the Indian community -- me being one among those, surely. She's been a constant source of inspiration to me, and someone i have come to hugely respect over these years for her servant leadership. For years whenever there has been talk of having an Indian version of a Drupal Association, the first person who comes to my mind is Shyamala for her gentle, inspirational leadership. My first choice for the seat at the international Drupal Association too.

Glad to see the name of Shyamala in the nominations :) I met with shyamala on 2009 in Drupal camp Delhi, where she spoke about "Responsive theming in Drupal". And she takes up the "Drupal 8 mobile initiative" which is highly important at that time.

And personally, she had very good nature and inspirational to every one of us. Best of Luck Shyamala for this awesome opportunity. ;)

Shyamala has been one of the oldest Drupal leaders from India. While she doesn't make a lot of noise about what she does, she continues to mentor people, organise local events, evangelise Indian community in National and International events and has been a source of inspiration for many.

Indian Community needs leaders like Shyamala, in order to elevate to the next levels and keep growing the way we have over the last few years.

After having pulled a great Drupalcon, Indian / Asian community needs official presence and representation at the Drupal Association. It couldn't have been a time as relevant as now.

I fully support and vote for Shyamal and would strongly encourage others to do the same.

Sounds great that Ms.Shyamala is one of the nominee  to the contest. My first meeting with her was at "National Convention for Academics and Research (NCAR)" and I was moved by her intellectual and her interest to drive the community ahead.
