Sponsoring DrupalCon and DrupalCamps is at the heart of FFW’s commitment to the Drupal community. As a company, Drupal is our lifeblood, and it makes sense to invest in the community. As Drupal people, we care about making sure we have a chance to explore new ideas and grow the pool of contributors that help make Drupal great.

We’ve committed to Diamond sponsorship of DrupalCon North America 2017—our third year in a row—and in 2016, we were proud to sponsor all three DrupalCons (in North America, Europe, and Asia). We don’t take DrupalCon sponsorship lightly: We want to help sustain DrupalCon as a forum for the Drupal community to grow, gather, and refine new ideas.

Why sponsor DrupalCon?

From an ROI perspective, sponsoring DrupalCon is an important opportunity for FFW to focus on our team and our future. While some members of our sales and marketing teams attend Cons to connect with existing and future partners and clients, that’s only the beginning of the value we see from sponsoring DrupalCon. As a company that relies on Drupal to build digital solutions, we know that gathering so many passionate contributors in one place is highly beneficial for Drupal. DrupalCon guarantees that new ideas and possibilities will come to the forefront, and will be challenged and improved upon. This in turn helps Drupal evolve and maintain its edge.

From an internal standpoint, DrupalCon also gives us an opportunity to bring people from our globally distributed team together. FFW team members not only make presentations to the community, but also get a chance to bond with international teammates, participate in the great conversations that happen in BOFs and hallways, and make connections that make us better at our jobs.

DrupalCamps are just as important as DrupalCon

Growing Drupal is about more than just sponsoring DrupalCon, though. FFW sponsors camps and meetups all around the world—and we’re proud of our team members who are key to organizing camps and events in their local areas. From helping with small sponsorships to offering up our space for these smaller events, we know that encouraging local gatherings is hugely important to the health of the larger community.

Camp and meetup attendees are the future of Drupal. People who are coming to a meetup or camp for the first time could (and often do) go on to build the next important module, the next great theme, or become a valuable member of the FFW team. Sponsoring local events is the ground-floor of recruiting people into the community and into FFW.

Whether at DrupalCon or a meetup, we know that great things happen when Drupalers get together. Gatherings are avenues where amazing ideas are born and refined. We believe in the power of Cons and Camps, and that’s why we’re proud to sponsor. We hope you’ll join us in Dublin (and in attending and supporting future events)  to see what new innovations the Drupal community comes up with, and to help enrich the future of the Drupal project.
