Drupal Store at DrupalCon Chicago 2011!

Drupal schwag.. Drupal schwag.. delicious Drupal schwag. Personally I've been dying to get my hands on some awesome Drupal Shirts from Morten.dk or those cute Druplicons from the Peru folks or a woven knit hat like Webchick's! And I've always been curious to learn about the latest Drupal books and browse them all in one place... a place like DrupalCon!

Town Hall Meeting

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

You are all invited to the Drupal Association's second Town Hall meeting!

The Drupal community is one of the strongest open source communities, involving tens of thousands of developers, themers, administrators, and users connecting with each other every day. In 2006, the Drupal Association was formed by a few community volunteers to support the Drupal community. Now in 2011 the Drupal Association is growing extremely fast and we have a lot of exciting events happening.

Welcome Neil and Megan

We are proud to announce the latest additions to the DrupalCon staff; Neil Kent and Megan Sanicki. Neil and Megan come to us with strong backgrounds in event management and fundraising. Their expertise and skill set will help bring the Drupal Association and DrupalCon to the next level in our development. As Drupal grows, the Drupal Association fosters and supports that growth through events like DrupalCon and other projects for the Drupal community and industry.

We are growing rapidly and there is quite a lot happening behind the scenes here. Curious what we are up to? Want to learn more? Come join us!

DrupalCon Website Request For Proposals

DrupalCon is seeking a partner to enhance the current DrupalCon website to prepare for the growth of DrupalCon events. Integration and development will use the existing code base as a foundation for adding or enhancing features as outlined in the RFP.

DrupalCon was awesome! Or was it?

The doors have closed on DrupalCon San Francisco and we have all recovered from our DrupalCon party hangovers. Well most of us have at least.

Here at the Association we learned early on how to deal with those post DrupalCon hangovers and we have lost no ground in planning the next two DrupalCon. DrupalCon Copenhagen, Denmark August 23-27, 2010 and DrupalCon Chicago March 8-11, 2011!

Our first step in planning the next conference is to evaluate how well the recent one was received. Yes that is right we listen to you, the Drupal community.

2009 Budget

After months of hard work defining goals, getting price quotes, setting priorities and building working teams the Association is ready to announce our 2009 budget. The Association is an all volunteer ran organization made up of and supported by the Drupal community and is excited to share our budget with the community. We want to keep you informed as to how your donations are being used.

Announcing Drupalcon Szeged 2008

After several months of searching for an appropriate city, venue, and team to host this year's European Drupalcon we are happy to announce that Drupalcon will be in Szeged, Hungary! Gábor Hojtsy and Kristof Van Tomme, teamed up the local event planner/travel agency, C&T, are heading up our Drupalcon Europe team and they are doing an outstanding job at organizing this year's conference.

We are expecting a thousand Drupal enthusiasts from around the world; which means that we'll be turning the picturesque student town of Szeged into Drupaltown for almost a week!

Drupalcon has been a major success for the Drupal community, with every conference reaching out to more and more people. Like Boston, Drupalcon Szeged will again provide ample opportunities both for business people, developers, themers, designers, and users in the community: there will be a code sprint, plenty of space for BOF sessions, a job fair and, of course, plenty of opportunity for networking. Start planning, buy your tickets early and be prepared to meet your Drupal community in Szeged, Hungary; Drupaltown!

For more information please read the official announcement on Drupal.org and stay tuned to the official website at szeged2008.drupalcon.org (or drupalcon.org for short)

Drupalcon 2009? We are currently planning the 2009 Drupalcon in North America and Europe. Please submit your proposals and ideas now.
