What the Association Board Does, and Why You Should Run!

One of the things that sets the Drupal community apart from other open source projects is our big, amazing, and very diverse community. The Association board is structured to help represent our community with two community elected seats. After an update to our bylaws this May, we now elect one board member per year to a two-year term. These seats are open to all community members, and we need you to fill them!

Drupal Association Board Meeting Summary: 9 July 2014

We held our July Drupal Association Board Meeting last Wednesday. Halfway through the year, we took the opportunity to review our metrics for the year thus far, discuss some possible changes to our governance model, and tackle a couple of housekeeping issues in executive session. If you somehow managed to miss us during the live session, never fear!

2013 Audited Financials for the Drupal Association

The phrase "audited financial statements" does not usually bring joy to the hearts of children or wake slumbering people from naps. However, if you're me, audited financials are pretty darn exciting. Firstly, I love them because they give us a baseline to measure against year afer year, and I love metrics.

Next Drupal Association Board Meeting: Live and in-person at DrupalCon Austin

Twice a year we get the opportunity to hold our monhtly Drupal Association board meetings live and in-person! We are more than excited to get to Austin to greet old friends and meet many new ones. While we're (mostly) all there, we hope you'll join us for the June board meeting. We'll be in room 10B on the third floor of the Austin convention center at 11:45 am.

Drupal Association Board Meeting Summary: 14 May 2014

If there is any steady measure of the passage of time it may just be the monthly Drupal Association Board Meetings. Another month is behind us, meaning that we 30ish days closer to DrupalCon Austin and all the other work we have planned for the year.

Please Welcome Mike Lamb & Rob Gill to the Drupal Association Board of Directors

I’m excited to announce that the Drupal Association Board of Directors has filled two open seats on the Board. Please welcome Mike Lamb of Pfizer and Rob Gill of NBC Universal. Mike and Rob fill board-appointed seats rather than the At-Large seats that are filled via community vote (by the way, stay tuned for communications about the next community vote for 2015 At-Large seats).

We couldn’t be more thrilled about Mike and Rob joining the board. Because they both have extensive experience as end-users of Drupal, we believe they will provide valuable input from a perspective that currently isn’t fully realized on the board.

Join Us for the Next Drupal Association Board Meeting

Things continue to move really quickly at the Association. With DrupalCon Austin less than a month away, we're also moving forward on DrupalCon Amsterdam, DrupalCon Latin America, and lots of non-DrupalCon projects as well. Join us at this meeting to get more background on the lastest happenings at the Association.

Drupal Association Board Meeting Summary: 16 April, 2014

Preparing the materials for the monthly board meeting is a lot of work, but it's a great chance to reflect each month on the momentum of the Association and the community.

Drupal Association Board Meeting this Wednesday

The month of March was pretty huge for the Association - we tackled a lot! Join us for the next Drupal Asssociation board meeting where we will review the work we accomplished and set the stage for even more. In addition to our review of March, we'll be discussing a new Marketing Committeee charter, a new Procurement Policy, and review some branding updates for the Association.
